How Long Do Wax Melts Last?

Our beautifully scented soy wax melts are a natural way to fill your home with fragrance and are all hand poured and expertly blended from the Olivia's Haven workshop on the North Coast of Northern Ireland.

Each packet of wax melts contains 6 cubes of fragranced wax. Simply take out 1 cube at a time, place it onto your wax burner and enjoy hours of the beautiful fragrance in your home. These melts smell the same as the candles of the same name. 

We recommend a single burn time of 4 hours per cube but remember you can re-melt a cube many times to continue to enjoy the scent. Each pack will provide up to 24 hours of burn time.

That said, burn time can be altered by several factors which may cause burn time to differ slightly.* Here is an insight into what will affect your wax melts burn time:

How to get the most out of your wax melts

Choose your burner carefully:

A higher temperature can provide a more intense scent throw. This is due to the volume of fragrance that is released and this will shorten the burn time as the fragrance is used much faster. The shorter the distance between the flame and the wax bowl will result in increased heat.

Choose a burner that is specifically for wax, do not use an oil burner as these dishes are too small and are too close to the flame of the tea light which will cause overheating.

Use an appropriately sized tea light: 

Tea lights that are larger in size will cause a wax melt to release its fragrance faster as the flame is closer to the wax bowl. You should always use a tea light that is equivalent in size to your burner - most burners will use a standard size tealight, but if you are unsure give message us and we can help.
